As an expert in research and development, you will have a direct impact on technological advancements and product evolution:
✅ Define and implement the R&D strategy for advanced product development, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives.
✅ Lead product development projects from concept to series production, following the R&D process.
✅ Collaborate with internal and external partners, including engineering teams and suppliers, to drive innovation.
✅ Act as the technical expert in your field and support product evolution within the organization.
✅ Work closely with the Product Manager to anticipate market trends and define an innovative and relevant technology roadmap.
✅ Manage the development budget for your product family and ensure activities align with financial objectives.
✅ Conduct technology and market intelligence to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
🎓 Education: PhD or Master’s degree in engineering, physics, optics, or a related field.
🔬 Required expertise: Solid and proven experience in glass technology (mandatory).
🛠 Experience: 8+ years in a similar role with strong career progression.
🚗 Automotive expertise: Extensive experience in the automotive supplier industry or expertise in materials such as coatings and optics.
📊 Financial skills: Strong knowledge of budget management, financial planning, and R&D investment strategies.
🛠 Technical skills: Product design (GD&T, DFMEA), automotive testing, and performance specifications.
🗣 Languages: Fluency in English and German is mandatory.
💡 Key qualities: Strategic thinking, leadership, autonomy, innovation mindset, and ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
